A witness said the teenager was still able to run several meters after being wounded before suddenly collapsing. He was rushed to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save him after a major blood vessel in his neck was hit.

Police have yet to determine the exact weapon used in the attack, although investigators are considering the possibility that a key may have been used.

"Nakita ko lang kasi hawak na ng kaibigan niya yung tama," said a security guard who witnessed the aftermath.
