The psychological effects from the school shooting in Tacloban City has left scars on the people who witnessed it.
Teacher Evita, who works at San Jose National High School, spoke out about the heavy trauma she has been carrying since the violent incident took place inside their building. For Teacher Evita, returning to her work space has proven to be a terrifying challenge, as simply walking near the crime scene causes her body to shut down.

"Papalapit na dun sa room, nakakaramdam ako ng parang nagna-numb yung buong katawan ko," she recalled tearfully.
The panic quickly became too much for her to bear when she tried to face the area again. The physical and mental exhaustion caused her to have a total breakdown.

"Nung papalapit na ako, hindi ko na kinaya na nag-breakdown, tapos nag-faint na ako," Teacher Evita admitted.
The school principal, Liezel Pulga, also fainted during the visit due to extreme fatigue and trauma.
Recognizing that the teachers are carrying an immense psychological burden, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has stepped in. They emphasized that healing from a crisis like this is a slow process.
"Matagal maghilom yung ganitong sugat. Matagal mawala yung shock, matagal mawala yung trauma," DSWD officials stated, explaining that their therapy sessions are designed to help the faculty slowly decompress.
Previously, one of the suspects of the shooting has been charged with multiple cases.
"It was established that he acted with discernment, and nagkaroon po ng certification yung CSWD," PBGen. Jason Capoy explained.
The tragic incident has since been making the headlines on social media, with some extending their condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims.

Friends and family remember Chris Lorenz as a hero who reportedly died while trying to save his classmates. While grateful for the overwhelming offers of assistance, the Fabian family stands firm in demanding justice for his death/ Christopher strongly urged that the parents of the juvenile suspects be held civilly and legally responsible for the tragedy in Tacloban.
Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte visited the wake of victims of the Tacloban City school shooting early Wednesday morning. She personally met with grieving families, offering condolences and emotional support during their time of loss. Duterte assured the families that efforts would be made to ensure justice for the victims of the tragedy. The shooting at San Jose National High School left three teenagers dead and 20 others injured which has since made headlines online.
