A deeply emotional video featuring Rovelyn Baterbonia has gone viral online after she was brought into a surprise moment organized by JBTadz NeverFades Picture Frames, leaving viewers across social media in tears.

In the video, the organizer first addressed the grieving mother in Bisaya with a short introduction, saying:

“Hi guys ito na ang mama ni ano (Rene Baterbonia), inyohang gin request nga malipay nalang gamay.”

This translates to:

“Hi guys, here is (Rene Baterbonia’s) mom. This is on your request, just to make her feel a little happy.”

He then gently guided her to sit in front of a large square-shaped object covered in white paper.

Moments later, as anticipation built, the cover was slowly removed, revealing a large portrait of her late child. The image showed a tender and emotional scene that immediately struck the mother deeply.

The instant Rovelyn saw the portrait, she broke down in tears. Overwhelmed with emotion, she repeatedly cried out:

“Nak...”

The room was filled with raw grief as she struggled to process the unexpected tribute.

JBTadz comforted her during the emotional moment, gently patting her as she continued to cry. Despite the effort to console her, Rovelyn remained visibly shaken, shaking her head while speaking in Bisaya through tears.

She said again through sobs:

“Nak...”

She then expressed her overwhelming grief, saying:

“Bahala dahug dahugon ako di ako mapanaw, way ko pakialam kun sturyahon ta sang mga tawo kun ano kita. Bisan gani sturyahon ta sang una...”

This translates to:

“I don’t care if I am being talked about badly, I won’t leave. I don’t care what people say about us. Even before, people already talked about us... (she cries even more)”

At one point, she added through intense sobs:

“Kasakit, Di ako gusto mag sige dumdum, di ako gusto magsige dumdum.”

Which means:

“It hurts so much. I don’t want to keep remembering, I don’t want to keep thinking about it.”

She continued crying as she mourned the loss of her child, Rene, in a deeply emotional moment that left those present silent and devastated.

The video quickly spread online, with netizens expressing sympathy and heartbreak over the mother’s reaction. Many viewers shared messages of comfort, saying it was painful to watch a parent grieve such a loss. Others also reflected on their own emotions and experiences with loss.

The clip has now reached more than 12 million views and over 45,000 comments, with thousands of users sharing condolences and emotional reactions to the viral moment.

In another report, former Ateneo Blue Eagles champion Doug Kramer made a public appeal asking for support for the families of Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili following their tragic passing. He stressed that attention should be directed toward helping the grieving families rather than prolonging discussions about the incident itself. Kramer also shared authorized donation channels to ensure that any assistance would directly reach those affected. The appeal gained significant attention from the Ateneo community and supporters who expressed solidarity and sympathy.

Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte expressed her willingness to attend the wake of Rene Clert Baterbonia once the arrangements are finalized. She said she had already inquired about the schedule of the wake and burial in Davao. Duterte emphasized the importance of personally offering condolences to the bereaved family once details are confirmed. She added that she is currently waiting for the finalized arrangements before making her visit.
