The footage began in a typical, quiet home setting. A small child in patterned pajamas is seen relaxing on a living room couch, completely unaware of the danger ahead. However, within seconds, the peaceful room turned into an absolute nightmare. The camera violently shook as the powerful earthquake hit, throwing items off shelves and creating a deep, rumbling noise which stunned many who saw the now-viral footage online.
