A supermarket inside SM Legazpi has caught the attention of social media users after creatively joining the viral “Sharmaine” trend that originated from content creator Baett’s online skit.

The supermarket's playful marketing move was featured on the official Facebook page of the mall, where oranges were displayed with a special label inspired by the now-famous character name “Sharmaine.”

Along with photos of the fruit display, the mall posted the caption,

“Certified and notarized: Sharmaine at your most loved mall, SM City Legazpi.”

The joke did not end there. In a follow-up comment, the mall shared another humorous post suggesting that the name “Sharmaine” had already been notarized and even tagged Baett in the process.

“Eto na, kami na nag pa notarize para sayo. PM ka na lang, bigay namin hard copy BAETT,” the mall wrote.

The post eventually reached Baett, who joined the fun by leaving a comment of his own.

“Ay teka lang! May abogado na ba yan? Baka wala ha hindi magandang biro yan!” he said.

The exchange quickly gained attention from netizens, who flooded the comment section with reactions and jokes.

Some users asked, “napanotaryo na po ba?”

Others echoed the joke by writing, “napanotaryo na hahahaha.”

Several commenters also praised the supermarket for acting quickly on the viral trend.

“Grabe ang bilis ng SM hahaha,” one netizen commented.

Another user jokingly suggested that Baett could benefit from the unexpected exposure.

The viral "Sharmaine" trend originated from his skit where a frustrated orange rants about being lazily named after its own color, hilariously declaring that its chosen, more creative name is "Sharmaine."
