The 45-year-old district supervisor of Olutanga District was attacked while heading home after attending a school activity. The incident took place in Sitio Guicam, Barangay Dawa-Dawa, according to a report by GMA News.
Based on the initial police investigation, the motive behind the killing may be related to his work. Authorities are now focusing on several individuals who could be linked to the crime.
In a report aired on GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office spokesperson Lt. Gina Magnaye confirmed that four persons of interest have already been identified.

“During sa conduct of investigation is sa trabaho. We have four POI. Ongoing pa ang case build-up para makonek nga kani gyud sila mao ang tanang POI,” Magnaye said.

Based on a report by ABS-CBN News, the incident happened past 5 p.m. CCTV footage captured a motorcycle rider making a U-turn along a road shortly before the fatal shooting. Moments later, a man wearing green passed by the area. Shortly after, residents were seen running as gunshots were heard. The victim then ran back toward the direction of the motorcycle, where he was eventually shot by the suspect and his companion.
