A family from Barangay 109-A in Tacloban City was startled by an unexpected visitor on Sunday.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN's 'TV Patrol,' a 1-meter-long reticulated python slithered through the ceiling of their bathroom.
The family quickly called on their neighbors for assistance in getting the large snake out of their home.
Thankfully, a man came to help the family get the snake out of its predicament.

As mentioned in the report, the snake may have been searching for a cooler spot due to the heat in the ceiling area.
That's why it ended up being in the bathroom of the family's house.
It was also discovered that the snake was feeling weak. The reticulated python was scheduled to be turned over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Meanwhile, the authorities reminded everyone that capturing and slaughtering any wildlife creature, like reticulated pythons, is strictly prohibited.
They added that reticulated pythons are already considered an endangered species.
