A heartbreaking incident occurred in Purok 9, Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental, on Thursday afternoon, May 15, when a truck carrying sugarcane veered out of control and crashed into a computer shop, resulting in the immediate deaths of two minors.

According to the Murcia Police Station, the victims were identified as a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old, both of whom were reportedly inside the computer shop at the time of the accident.

The driver of the truck was identified as alias Jerry, a resident of Bago City.

Initial investigations by the local police indicate that the truck was traveling from the town proper of Murcia when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle due to suspected brake failure.
