The bus's door was also wrecked, resulting in the rescue being quite difficult. As a solution, rescuers used the bus's window to unload the injured passengers.
Injured passengers were rushed to different hospitals for immediate medical attention.
According to the initial investigations, the bus might've had a mechanical failure, resulting in it overshooting and crashing into the arc.
The LTFRB has already issued a show cause order to the bus operator to explain their side of the incident.
In the Philippines, if a passenger bus crashes due to mechanical failure and injures passengers, the bus operator can be held responsible.
Under the law, public utility operators are required to exercise extraordinary diligence in ensuring the safety of their passengers (Article 1755 of the Civil Code).
This means they must regularly maintain their vehicles and make sure they are safe for public use. If the crash is found to be due to poor maintenance, the operator may be liable for negligence.
They can face civil cases for damages and, depending on the situation, even criminal charges. The driver may also share liability if it is proven that there was reckless or careless behavior involved.
In short, if mechanical failure is due to negligence in maintenance, the operator is generally at fault and must compensate the victims.

According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
