The family of Ruel Roca is deeply worried following the death of his cousin and co-driver, Dexter Roales, who was found dead after a suspected robbery involving their SUV used for passenger transport across Cavite, Batangas, Quezon, and Laguna.

On Monday morning, Roales' body was discovered along the Tagaytay-Mendez road with a gunshot wound to the head.
His SUV, which he used for door-to-door transport services, was later found abandoned in a grassy area within an unfinished subdivision in Barangay Alalum, San Pascual, Batangas.

Roales shared driving duties with his cousin, Ruel Roca, who is now missing. The family has yet to hear any word from him.

“Sana naman po kung sino ang makakakita kay Ruel ay ipagbigay-alam agad po sa amin... Hindi namin alam kung saan lugar ang aking kapatid na nawawala. Ang suot daw niya ay kulay puti na Fubu at maong na short,” said Rolly Roca, brother of the missing man.
Meanwhile, police have taken a statement from one of the SUV’s passengers who was present during the alleged holdup.
According to authorities, the suspects released this passenger, allowing them to give testimony.
The passenger recounted that he had fallen asleep during the trip and was suddenly awakened by the sound of a gunshot.
According to him, the culprits were two men who pretended to be passengers and boarded the SUV in the middle of the journey.
The family also believes that the motive for the killing was not robbery.
According to the victim's brother, Dexter Roales, his sibling had received threats.
The police investigation continues as authorities search for Ruel Roca and work to identify and capture those responsible for the crime.

Meanwhile in other news, a barangay chairman in Sta. Maria, Pangasinan died after he was shot but a still unknown gunman. According to the report of Balitanghali of GMA Integrated News, the victim was driving a tricycle. A man at the roadside then signaled for him to stop, and when he did, he was shot by the perpetrator. The gunman immediately fled the scene, but authorities already have a person of interest.
