In a live video, he reportedly lamented the horrifying realization that the individuals he had struck were his younger sibling and his “pamangkin.”
“Ano na ang gagawin ko? Ako yung nakapatay ng nakababata ko na kapatid at pamangkin ko. Hindi ko sinasadya. Disgrasya yun,” the grieving truck driver said.
He then asked forgiveness, adding that he’s always trying to practice safe driving for his family.
“Pasensya talaga Tol. Nag-iingat naman ako sa pagda-drive dahil sa pamilya ko,” he added.
The truck driver then asked why of all the people around, two of them would be involved in such accident, but then resigned himself to the fact that nothing can be done now.
“Kaya lang nangyari yung tayong dalawa yung nadisgrasya. Sa kadami-dami ng tao na babanggain ninyo, ba't ako pa na nakatatanda mong kapatid? Napakasakit talaga pero wala na tayong magagawa. Napakasakit,” the grieving truck driver said.
