Lagay ni FPRRD sa detention facility ng ICC, emosyonal na inilahad ni Sen. Bong Go

- Sen. Go said the place where the former president is being held was strict and only his family can contact him

- Go also added the last time he was able to talk to Duterte via video call was back when the former president was on his way to The Hague

Senator Bong Go emotionally opened up about the current condition of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

Speaking to the press, a video of his interview was later shared by Philippine Star on their YouTube channel.

Sen. Go mentioned that the facility where Duterte is being held has strict regulations, allowing only his family to communicate with him.

He also revealed that the last time he was able to speak with Duterte via video call was when the former president was on his way to The Hague.

“Napakahirap mag-isa… Hindi siya sanay mag-isa… Hirap nga siyang maglakad. Ang hirap po ng kanyang sitwasyon ngayon. Sana po ipagdasal natin ang kanyang kalusugan, kaligtasan at kalayaan… Nakakalungkot marami pong nangungulila,” said Sen. Go.

Meanwhile, Go advised the supporters of the former president to remain calm at to unite as Duterte faces his case before the ICC.

“Huminahon po tayong lahat, huminahon tayo. ‘Yung mga supporters po ni [dating] pangulong Duterte...Importante po ngayon ay magkaisa tayo para mapalaya po at makauwi si dating pangulong Duterte,” added the senator.

Above all, Go called upon their supporters to pray for FPRRD's health and freedom.

In a previous report by KAMI, Senator Bong Go told reporters yesterday the reason why Atty. Salvador Medialdea was carried in an ambulance. In a video shared by Philippines STAR on YouTube, Sen. Go said Atty. Medialdea was feeling dizzy right when they arrived at The Hague. He added that FPRRD's nurse said Atty. Medialdea's eyes turned all-white and he was stiff. Sen. Go also revealed that Atty. Medialdea has an existing heart condition.

Additionally in another report related to Atty. Medialdea, Mariz Umali, a known GMA reporter and news anchor, clarified the issue about her alleged "matanda" remarks to Atty. Medialdea - In a Facebook post, she shared a video when Atty. Medialdea was carried to an ambulance because he suddenly felt ill. Umali explained she didn't say "matanda" and what she actually said was “Tingnan mo yung ‘mata niya’ (Medialdea), nakabukas siya nung una pero nung nakita niya ako, pinikit.” She was referring to the part of the video when Atty. Medialdea quickly closed his eyes when he saw Umali as the latter was asking the former what happened to him.
