Medialdea was finally put in an ambulance when he felt ill again.

Despite everything that was going on, Sen. Bong Go asked the people to pray both for Atty. Medialdea and former president Rodrigo Duterte.

He said the condition of FPRRD is very hard, especially now that Medialdea, was not in good health condition.

Salvador "Bingbong" Medialdea, a Filipino lawyer, served as Executive Secretary under President Rodrigo Duterte from 2016 to 2022. In March 2025, he was appointed as Duterte’s legal counsel for the ICC proceedings but fell ill and was hospitalized while in The Hague.

Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go has been a Philippine senator since 2019 and was formerly Duterte’s longtime executive assistant. He played a key role in improving healthcare access through the Regional Specialty Centers Act and was recognized for his contributions to regional development.

In a previous report by KAMI, Atty. Salvador Medialdea was transported from Scheveningen Prison in The Hague at around 9 a.m. (Netherlands time), with Senator Robin Padilla accompanying him as his guardian on an ambulance. Authorities have not yet disclosed why Medialdea was taken by ambulance from the detention facility. Former President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested by the ICC over crimes against humanity linked to his war on dr*gs. Duterte’s legal team argues that the ICC has no authority over him since the Philippines withdrew from the Rome Statute in 2019, while the tribunal insists it retains jurisdiction over past crimes.

Additionally in another report related to Atty. Medialdea, Mariz Umali, a known GMA reporter and news anchor, clarified the issue about her alleged "matanda" remarks to Atty. Medialdea - In a Facebook post, she shared a video when Atty. Medialdea was carried to an ambulance because he suddenly felt ill. Umali explained she didn't say "matanda" and what she actually said was “Tingnan mo yung ‘mata niya’ (Medialdea), nakabukas siya nung una pero nung nakita niya ako, pinikit.” She was referring to the part of the video when Atty. Medialdea quickly closed his eyes when he saw Umali as the latter was asking the former what happened to him.
