“Si Peter nambato sa bahay ng biktima. Nang lumabas na ang biktima, nag-result ng heated argument between them,” stated Lt. Col. Salvador Trono, Jr., Talisay City Police Station Chief.
The argument escalated, culminating in a gunfight between the two men. Calapan sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the chest, while Salanatin was fatally shot in the head.
Authorities have determined that the dispute originated from a conflict related to their business of selling fighting c0cks.
“Conflict sa kanilang trabaho. Nagbebenta sila ng manok, nag-aalaga kasi sila ng manok. Nag-aagawan sila ng mga customer nila,” Trono explained.
Narcisa, Salanatin's wife, expressed her shock and grief, stating that she was unaware of her husband's business transactions or the dispute.
