The man had been previously apprehended for playing cara y cruz (a coin betting game), during which authorities discovered P59,000 worth of illegal substances in his possession.

The woman reportedly justified her actions by claiming that a relative, who allegedly works for the government, had taught her how to offer bribes in such situations.

Despite this claim, the police proceeded with her arrest and are now investigating the matter further.

Bribery is a serious offense under Philippine law, and authorities continue to crack down on corruption and illegal dr*g activities.

As of now, both the woman and her husband remain in custody, while police conduct further investigations into the case and the alleged involvement of the government employee mentioned in her statement.
