Veronica “Kitty” Duterte confronted Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, expressing her frustration over the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

During a tense exchange, Kitty directly addressed the police official while discussing her father’s detention in relation to the cases filed against him by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The charges stemmed from allegations that Duterte committed “crimes against humanity” during his administration’s controversial war on dr&gs, widely known as “Oplan Tokhang.”
Duterte’s youngest daughter shared a video on social media, showing Torre giving the former president’s family an ultimatum to select three individuals who could accompany him on a chartered flight.

Kitty and her family have been trying to determine where authorities plan to take Duterte.
As Torre spoke, Kitty suddenly cut in and demanded, “Sabihin niyo kung saan siya dalahin, t**** i*a ka!”
She also included a caption in her post, stating, “They are taking him out on a plane by force without considering his health conditions.”

Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte was the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines. He left Malacañang on June 30. The newly inaugurated President of the Philippines is Bongbong Marcos who got 31 million votes in the May 2022 elections. The new Vice President of the Philippines is VP Sara Duterte, the daughter of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

Earlier, the former president was apprised of his rights under the Miranda Doctrine. In a video shared by GMA News, CIDG chief, Police Major General Nicolas Torre III, is seen reciting the Miranda Doctrine to the former president. The reading of the Miranda rights is a standard procedure for persons being arrested to ensure that the latter fully understands their rights upon their arrest. It can be recalled that the International Police (InterPol) has confirmed the issuance of the arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court against the former president.
An earlier video showing former President Rodrigo Duterte’s longtime partner, Honeylet Avanceña, seemingly trying to prevent the former leader from being taken into custody has gone viral. The video, which was posted on the social media page of their daughter, Veronica or Kitty Duterte and shared by ABS-CBN news on its own page, has since then gone viral. The said video also captured snippets of conversations between Avanceña and the former leader. As of this writing, the video has gained 1.2 million views with 5.4K comments and 29K reacts.
