A man was taken into custody for the fatal stabbing of his neighbor in Barangay Wines, Baguio District, Davao City.

The incident took place on March 2, 2025, and the victim was identified as 51-year-old Alvin Dulos.

According to a report from TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the suspect, Jason Dalayon, was resting on a hammock when he spotted the victim and called him over.

As soon as the victim approached, the suspect attacked and stabbed him multiple times, leaving him with a total of 13 stab wounds.

Dalayon was eventually arrested during the hot pursuit operation conducted by the Davao City Police.

According to reports, the suspect was known as a troublemaker, and he already had a bad record in their barangay.

The suspect admitted the crime that he committed, but claimed he did it as a retaliation because the victim mugged him before.

"'Di talaga ako nagsisi sa ginawa ko. Normal ako 'nung ginawa ko 'yun. Alam ko ang ginagawa ko. Itong taong 'to, marami nang atraso sa'kin," the suspect said in an interview.

Dalayon will be charged with murder.

The victim's family is seeking justice because another family member died from a heart attack after seeing the tragic crime committed on Dulos.

The other two suspects were first arrested by the police, and the victim's stepbrother was arrested after over a year.
