Tricycle, nahati sa dalawa matapos salpukin ng pickup truck, 2 babaeng pasahero nito, patay

- 2 female passengers lost their lives when a pickup-truck hit the tricycle that they're riding

- The tragic accident happened in Digos-Makar Road, Barangay Balutakay, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur

- In a report by GMA 7's GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, apart from the casualties, the tricycle driver and a 7-year-old boy passenger were injured

- According to police authorities, the two involved vehicles were going in different directions when the driver of the pickup truck lost control of the vehicle

They added the pickup truck spun a couple of times before hitting the tricycle. The strong collisions wrecked the tricycle into 2 pieces.

The road was also reported to be slippery because of the rain.

“‘Yung pickup… at the place of the incident, ‘yung pick up po, nag-swirl po siya. Umikot po siya ng limang beses at tsaka, and then, it hit the pedicab,” said Hagonoy Police Station Traffic Investigator, Staff Sergeant Sittie Sajile.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested and will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, serious physical injury, and damage to property.
