Glaiza De Castro is saying goodbye to a property that has become deeply connected to her family’s memories after announcing that her holiday home in Baler, Aurora is now being offered for sale.

The Kapuso actress and recording artist opened up about the sentimental value of the property in a lengthy social media post, explaining that what began as a simple vacation home eventually became a family project and a place where many meaningful moments unfolded.
“Some places are more than just a property. They become part of the family. ❤️” Glaiza wrote.
She recalled purchasing the Baler property in 2018. At the time, she envisioned it primarily as a place where her family could escape their everyday routine, slow down, and spend quality time together.

“In 2018, I bought a holiday home in Baler, Aurora. At the time, it was simply a place where we could escape, slow down, and spend time together,” she shared.
Over the years, however, the property took on a much greater significance.
Glaiza said the home became a gathering place for birthdays, celebrations, long weekends, and even ordinary days that eventually became some of the family’s favorite memories.
The pandemic later changed the family’s relationship with the property.
Like many people during that period, Glaiza and her loved ones spent more time away from their usual routines. Their extended time in Baler allowed her to discover a deeper appreciation for the province.
She particularly highlighted Baler’s slower pace, scenic surroundings, warm community, and the simple happiness that came from being together.
“during those quiet months, I discovered a deeper appreciation for the province—the slower pace, the beautiful surroundings, the warmth of the community, and the simple joy of being together,” she wrote.
What started as a private holiday home eventually became a much bigger undertaking for the family.
Glaiza explained that they gradually invested their time, ideas, and effort into improving the property. They created spaces designed for relaxation and connection before eventually making the home available to guests through Airbnb.
The actress said it was especially meaningful to see other families and groups of friends use the property to make memories of their own.
“It was incredibly special to see other families and friends create their own memories there,” she said.
Now, however, Glaiza’s family is entering another stage of their lives.
“Our priorities have shifted and new plans for the future are taking shape,” she explained.
After giving the decision considerable thought, they concluded that the time had come for the property to begin another chapter with a different family.
Glaiza acknowledged that selling the home comes with mixed emotions.
“So, with a little bit of sadness—but also with a lot of gratitude—we are offering our beloved holiday home in Baler, Aurora for sale,” she wrote.
Despite the sadness attached to letting go, Glaiza said she hopes the future owner will appreciate what the property has to offer beyond its value as real estate.
“We hope to find an owner who will see what we saw in it: not just a property, but a place with warmth, character, and so much potential,” she shared.
She described the kind of life she hopes the property can continue to provide for whoever eventually takes ownership.
“A place where families can gather.
“Where friends can celebrate.
“Where children can grow up making memories.
“Where someone can wake up, breathe a little deeper, and appreciate the beauty of life.”
For Glaiza, the home’s next chapter is ultimately about giving another family the same opportunity her own family had.
“We have made so many memories here, and now we are ready to pass the keys—and the opportunity to create many more—to someone new,” she wrote.
She ended her message with an invitation to anyone who might eventually become the property’s new owner.
“Maybe the next chapter of this home is meant to be yours.”
