Five young children, all cousins, died after their home was engulfed in fire in Brgy. 97, Tondo, Maynila, past 10 p.m. on Monday.

According to the report of GMA News, fire broke out at the second and third floor of their home.

F/ Sr. Insp. Alejandro Ramos said that they are gathering information from direct witnesses and that they are also gathering ashes, debris and electrical wirings for laboratory examination.

Reports revealed that the alley was narrow, which made it hard for firefighters to reach the place.

The SUV driver admitted he fell asleep because of exhaustion, he will be facing multiple complaints because of the incident.
