Anne Curtis honored her late father-in-law, Louis Heussaff, with a brief Instagram Story following the announcement of his passing.

The actress and It’s Showtime host shared a sunset video with the caption “papa,” accompanied by a sad emoji. Her post showed the sun over the water as she remembered the father of her husband, food content creator Erwan Heussaff.

According to GMA Entertainment, the video featured “Remember Me,” a lullaby from the 2017 animated film Coco, as its background music. Anne kept her written message to a single word.

The tribute followed an announcement from her mother-in-law, Cynthia, who confirmed that Louis had died on the morning of October 31, 2026.

“After struggling with dementia over the past few years, he passed away this morning, October 31, 2026,” Cynthia wrote in her Instagram post, as reported by GMA News.

Along with sharing the news, Cynthia asked those who knew her husband to remember his personality and the happy moments they had shared with him. She acknowledged that the past few years had been difficult for their family.

Her message encouraged loved ones to keep his stories alive and hold on to their fondest memories of him. The announcement was signed by Cynthia and their children, Vanessa, Solenn, and Erwan.

Other members of the family also shared their own tributes on social media.

Erwan reposted his mother’s announcement on his Instagram Stories and added the word “Free.”

His sister, actress and artist Solenn Heussaff, posted a photo of herself embracing their father while he was seated in a wheelchair. She accompanied the image with a red heart emoji.

Louis’ passing comes months after another loss for Anne and her family.

In January, the host and her sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, announced the death of their father, James Curtis-Smith. He passed away on January 2 at the age of 82, with the family sharing the news publicly on January 7.
