The actress directly addressed the remark in a post on X. She made it clear that she does not consider herself “retokada” and shared how she feels about her own appearance and that of her daughter.

“Can proudly say I’m not retokada at all and for me, for me lang naman, my daughter and I are both beautiful,” Anne wrote.

The host then admitted that she would normally choose not to give attention to comments like that. However, she decided to respond this time.

“I usually don’t give people like you the time of the day but wala lang,” she said.

Anne also appeared to wonder what could have prompted the netizen to leave such a comment. Rather than responding with another insult, she chose to send a more personal message.

“I don’t know who hurt you or why you’re so angry with me but nonetheless sending you some kindness maybe you some in your life,” she wrote.

She ended her response with a virtual hug and stressed that she meant the gesture sincerely.

“Big virtual hug I mean that, sincerely. Good night!”
