A rider died after hitting a long metal pipe being carried by a "kolong-kolong" that was crossing the road in Tigbauan, Iloilo.

The metal pipe was extended far beyond the dimensions of the kolong-kolong and the rider who was running on the highway did not see it and hit it hard.

He immediately fell on the road and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

His motorcycle hit a pickup truck.
