Arnold Clavio has taken to his Instagram page and shared a video showing dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, whose real name is Guo Hua Ping.

In the video, the ousted mayor could be seen cheerfully dancing with some individuals on stage.

The said video was taken at an event during the Bamban Festival last January.

Meanwhile, the Kapuso news anchor penned a short yet catchy caption.

Alice Leal Guo was the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac, and was eventually dismissed. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.

Guo Hua Ping, also known as Alice Guo, was arrested in Indonesia on September 4. Sen. Win Gatchalian, in a social media post, announced that the dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor was arrested in Tangerang City, Jakarta. In a message sent to GMA News, Gatchalian said Guo was nabbed at 1:30 AM. The news was also confirmed by NBI Director Jaime Santiago, according to ABS-CBN News.

Alice Guo was ordered to be transferred to Pasig City Jail by the Pasig Regional Trial Court. The Pasig RTC branch 167 issued the said order today, September 20, 2024. Guo (and many others) were charged with violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003. Up to this day, she's still being investigated by the Senate and the House of Representatives over her alleged links to the raided POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac and the truth about her citizenship.
