Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, whose real name is Guo Hua Ping, has been arrested in Indonesia.

In a social media post, Sen. Win Gatchalian announced that Guo was nabbed in Tangerang City, Jakarta.
“Nahuli na si Guo Hua Ping aka Alice Guo sa Tangerang City, Jakarta, Indonesia. Mananagot ang dapat managot!” the senator penned.

In a message sent to GMA News, Gatchalian also shared that Indonesian authorities arrested Guo at 1:30 AM on September 4.
“I was just informed by the NBI that Guo Hua Ping (also known as Alice Guo), was arrested in Tangerang City, Jakarta, Indonesia, at 01:30 on September 4, 2024,” Gatchalian told GMA reporters.
“She is currently in the custody of the Indonesian Police at Jatanras Mabes Polri,” he added.
As per ABS-CBN News’ post on social media, National Bureau of Investigation Director Jaime Santiago also confirmed the news on Wednesday morning.
Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.
Earlier, Alice Guo's photo at Kuala Lumpur International Airport is making the rounds on social media. The picture was taken on July 21 before she flew to Singapore. In the photo from Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), Guo was seen together with a female companion. Just recently, two of Guo's companions were arrested in Indonesia.
Alice Guo’s sister, Shiela Guo, is now at the Senate detention facility. She arrived at the facility on August 26 after the National Bureau of Investigation transferred custody to the Senate Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms, as per the Philippine star. According to PTV, Shiela also underwent inventory and medical test. It can be recalled that Shiela and Cassandra Li Ong were nabbed in Indonesia and brought back to the Philippines last August 22.
