Nesthy Petecio, in a post on Instagram, blurted out using “Encantadia” language, after meeting with actress Diana Zubiri.
The Olympic boxing medalist, who won silver in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and bronze in the 2024 Paris Olympics, said she almost hit the actress because she was quickly moving around.
“Grabe, yung muntikan ko na sya matamaan kasi ang likot² ko ee,” Nesthy said.
“Tapos pagharap ko c sangre danaya pala,” the Pinay boxer said, referring to Diana by the name of her fictional character in “Encantadia.”

In the TV series, Sang’gre Danaya is one of the elemental Sang'gres and who happens to keep the Jewel of Earth.
In her post, Nesthy also humorously said she suddenly became afraid after seeing “Sang’gre Danaya.”
“Bigla ako natakot ee,” the Pinay boxer jokingly said.
Near the end of her post, she jokingly chastised herself in her post.
“Pashnea ka nesthy 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣,” Nesthy said, which means “animal ka Nesthy.”
Nesthy Petecio is a Pinay boxer who clinched a silver medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics during the inaugural women's featherweight event. She was the first Filipino woman to win a medal in Olympic boxing. She also won the bronze medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Recently, Nesthy talked about the boxing match she had with Poland’s Julia Szeremeta. In a report by Philippine Star, Nesthy, a silver medalist of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, admitted she was expecting to clinch the gold this time. The lady boxer said she was very confident she can do it but unfortunately, things did not go her way. Despite failing to get the gold or silver, Nesthy still felt thankful as she knew she did all she could in the said match.
It can be recalled that during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Nesthy made headlines after bagging the silver medal. Petecio also became the first-ever Filipina boxer to win an Olympic medal. Despite making history, Petecio asked for Filipinos’ forgiveness after she fell short in her bid for gold. Filipino netizens then assured that they are still proud of the Filipina Olympian's achievement.
