Ian Veneracion's secret to a happy marriage? 'Huwag makipagdebate sa asawa'

Ian Veneracion opened up about his married life on Gladys Reyes' lifestyle show "Moments" on Saturday, December 2.
The actor was asked what he thinks is the most important lesson he learned from being married for 20 years.
He answered with a laugh, "Siguro ang huwag makipag-debate sa asawa."
The former child star also added: "At 'pag galit siya, tumahimik ka na lang. Wala kang panalo."

Ian married his wife Pam Gallardo in October 1997. They have since had three children: Draco, 17, Deirdre, 15, and Buccio, 9.
The matinee idol also previously mentioned in an interview with ABS-CBN that he remits all his paychecks to his wife. Pam manages all their finances, and invests Ian's earnings in a construction business she manages.
The 42-year-old actor reemerged into the spotlight after starring in the remake of popular teleserye "Pangako Sa'yo" opposite Jodi Sta. Maria.
In an interview with PEP, Ian admitted he still finds other women attractive. He said as an artist, a painter, and an actor, he appreciates beauty.
But he clarified that his wife completely trusts him and that his love teams are never a cause for jealousy or conflict in their marriage.
Aside from Jodi, Ian has also been teamed up with Bea Alonzo.
