According to CDN, the victim was Mary Ann Tangpos, a street dweller.

Based on the account of her live-in partner, the victim had contractions at around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

He tried to take her to the hospital, but she refused because they had no money and could not afford it, GMA Regional TV reported.

On Wednesday, around 7 a.m., a friend of the victim found her giving birth on the sidewalk, alone.

Seno said that the baby was already about to come out.

A traffic enforcer, and a nurse, also tried helping but the victim was already pale.

When the victim gave birth, the baby was not breathing anymore.

They tried bringing her to the hospital, and where the doctor offered to remove the umbilical cord and placenta for free, but the victim allegedly reacted violently and upon signing a waiver was discharged, Philstar reported.

She went back to the street where she gave birth and where she eventually died.
