In Caloocan City, a delivery rider was shot and killed by his neighbor on Thursday.
The victim, identified as 45-year-old Rene Lipata, was a delivery rider for various fast-food restaurants and also worked as a truck helper.
According to ABS-CBN News, the incident occurred around 9:30 AM while Lipata was fixing a fallen electric cable.
The suspect approached him and suddenly shot him.

Lipata was pronounced dead on the spot, and the suspect immediately fled.
Residents reported that the conflict between the two neighbors began when a branch from Lipata’s mango tree fell onto the suspect’s fence.
It was also revealed that this was not the first time the suspect had threatened Lipata. The suspect had previously fired a gun at Lipata but missed.
The Caloocan police are currently conducting follow-up operations to locate the suspect.
In a previous report by KAMI, two men were struck by lightning while walking home in General Trias, Cavite. It was after they bathed in the rain when the lightning struck. Both men suffered severe burns, while one of their companions survived. Cavite was under a thunderstorm advisory from PAGASA on Thursday.
Earlier, a female OFW was recently found dead in her rented room in Malate, Manila. The murder suspect is reportedly the live-in partner of seven years, according to a report by "Frontline sa Umaga." The suspect has also confessed to the killing and that it was motivated by jealousy. Moreover, the Manila Police District's section has now taken the suspect into custody.
KAMI also reported about Renz Llorente, a fresh graduate, drowned in Malogo River while celebrating his graduation. He was swimming with friends when the strong current, caused by heavy rain, led to the accident. The incident happened in Barangay Nanca, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental. Llorente had just graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Office Administration two days before the tragedy.
