Furthermore, the company expressed gratitude to the Madlang People and vowed that the program will return “stronger and better than ever” on October 28.

In a previous report, Vice Ganda and Ion are facing another challenge after the group Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI) filed a criminal complaint against them. The two, particularly Vice Ganda, have been in hot water after being called out by some netizens because of the “icing” controversy. That particular issue caused “It’s Showtime” to be slapped with a 12-day suspension by MTRCB. The complaint filed by KSMBPI is apparently anchored on the same issue.

The MTRCB also released a statement regarding the effects of the 12-day suspension on “It’s Showtime” on its irregular workers. The board clarified that the suspension and the ongoing "no work, no pay" issue involving irregular workers are two separate matters. According to the MTRCB, the practice of not regularizing employees, even when a show has been airing for over a decade, highlights a pervasive problem that extends beyond the show's 12-day suspension.
