Her post quickly attracted affectionate responses from Filipino fans, who celebrated the singer's enduring connection with the country. One netizen suggested that the love and support Sandara continues to receive from Filipinos worldwide reflect the affection she has consistently shown the Philippines.
“Kasi minahal mo ng Todo ang Pilipinas... Kaya sobra sobra ang pagmamahal ng mga Pilipino sa yo Sandara🥰,” the fan wrote.
In response, Sandara recalled how warmly Filipinos welcomed her when she was still young and had little knowledge of the entertainment industry or the wider world.
“Kasi minahal ako nang todo ng Pilipinas nung bata pa ako. Nung wala pa akong alam sa showbiz, wala pa akong friends at wala pa akong alam sa mundo. The Philippines raised me and changed my life,” she said.
Born in Busan, South Korea, the 41-year-old singer grew up in the Philippines, where she first established her name in local entertainment. Her experience in the country became an important chapter in her journey before she pursued a career in South Korea.
Sandara, who remains fluent in Tagalog, has maintained a close relationship with Filipino fans throughout her international career. Reflecting on the special bond, she playfully wondered whether she might have been Filipino in a previous life.
“Hindi kaya Pilipina talaga ako sa past life ko?! 🥹🇵🇭”

The singer's appreciation for Filipino supporters was also evident in an earlier X post dated October 10. At the time, she shared how touched she was to discover that fans continued to attend her performances and events outside the Philippines.
Sandara said she was surprised to see Filipino supporters traveling to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to watch her perform at the Kaohsiung Park Music Festival. She also recalled encountering Filipino fans at events in South Korea, including a Korean festival in Incheon and the Chungju Park Music Festival.
“Kasi lately, di ko na-expect pero laging may Pinoy sa shows ko. Pati sa Korean festival sa Incheon, meron din sa Chungju [Park Music Festival] and many other places,” she said.
“So nagulat ako and happy!!! So isipin ko nalang, kahit san ako pupunta, at least may isang Pinoy who will be there to cheer for me🥹🧡🙏🏻,” she added.
Known affectionately as the “Pambansang Krung Krung,” Sandara first rose to prominence in the Philippines as a contestant on ABS-CBN's Star Circle Quest in 2004.
