Evette Pabalan has opened up about her decision to prioritize her family and life in Canada instead of returning to a long-term career with the SexBomb Girls.

The dancer-singer recently shared a heartfelt message after receiving comments from fans who expressed their hopes that she would continue performing with the iconic girl group. While Evette said she appreciates the support, she also clarified that her decision to stay in Canada should not be viewed as choosing an inferior or less meaningful life.
"I do understand what you guys mean, and I'm genuinely happy for the girls who are back in the limelight. Totoo naman, kapag gusto may paraan; kapag ayaw, may dahilan. Pero when I read 'you opted for a normal life,' parang lumalabas na mali ang naging choice ko," she reacted.
Evette also looked back on the difficult period when the group was no longer as visible in the entertainment industry. She recalled how some members faced negative comments about their appearance and relevance, making her happy to see her fellow SexBomb Girls receive new opportunities.

"Noong tahimik ang grupo, marami rin kaming narinig tungkol sa pagtanda, pagtaba, at pagiging laos. Kaya masaya akong makita na nabibigyan ulit ng pagkakataon ang mga girls. Bawat isa sa amin may sariling path, and I'm glad they can make the most of the opportunities there," she wrote.
Even Evette returned to the Philippines for the group's reunion concerts, she explained that the appearances were not meant to signal a permanent return to show business. She has since built a different life in Canada, where she lives with her own family.
"I'm a wife and a mom, and my family is a big part of the decisions I make. At the same time, I have my own goals and choices, and I hope those can be respected, too."

Evette emphasized that her passion for performing has not disappeared. However, she now sees singing and dancing as something she can continue to enjoy without making it her primary livelihood.
Her message ultimately highlighted that the former group members can remain connected to their shared history while pursuing different goals in their personal lives.
Evette Pabalan (born Evette Pabalan-Onayan) is a Filipino dancer, actress, and singer who rose to widespread fame as a prominent member of the legendary all-female dance and singing group SexBomb Girls. Having starred alongside the group in the hit noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! and the long-running afternoon drama series Daisy Siete, she later relocated to Canada to focus on her family while occasionally reuniting with her fellow SexBomb members for special projects and international tours.
