The announcement was featured in Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, September 16. According to the report, Bitoy will begin appearing as the game show’s substitute host while Dingdong is away.

The Kapuso comedy genius shared that he did not want anyone else to replace the regular host. Since Dingdong would be unavailable, he eventually decided to accept the job himself.

“But since he isn’t available, I don’t want other people to host this, so I said, I’ll do it,” Bitoy added.

It has been more than a decade since the comedian last regularly hosted a television program. Because of this, he initially thought that returning to the role would be challenging.

However, the experience quickly felt familiar once he stepped onto the “Family Feud” set.

“It’s one of those things that are fun to do. I haven’t hosted in a long time, so here, this time, I’m still at home in this scenario,” he shared.

Bitoy also joked about one major difference he noticed during his return. Unlike his previous hosting jobs, he no longer needed to carry a microphone.

“I’m just not used to not holding a mic, because the last time I hosted, I still held a mic,” the comedian said.

Dingdong, meanwhile, expressed his gratitude to the veteran entertainer for agreeing to take his place. The actor described Bitoy as someone he greatly admires.

“Kuya Bitoy, thank you very much,” he said.
“While we are working on ‘Master Cutter,’ I’m sure everyone watching ‘Family Feud’ will be absolutely delighted, especially the contestants,” the Kapuso star added.

He also promised that he would visit Bitoy while the comedian is handling the show.

Dingdong temporarily stepped away from his hosting duties to concentrate on “The Master Cutter,” where he plays the lead role. His absence from the game show is only temporary.
