Social media personality Papi Galang has publicly defended her longtime friend Toni Fowler amid criticism accusing the influencer of being an “enabler” or “tolerator” of people who have made questionable decisions in life.

Galang addressed the issue in a lengthy social media post, explaining that she does not usually make public statements to defend other people. However, she said the circumstances surrounding Fowler prompted her to speak about their decade-long friendship.
“Sa sampung taon ko ng nakakasama si Toni, I’ve seen her went through a lot. Lahat ng pagkakamali, pagsubok at pagbangon na naranasan nya.”
According to Galang, her personal experience with Fowler does not support the accusations being made against her. She said that even as Fowler’s close friend, she has seen the influencer openly confront people when she believes they have made mistakes.

“You can call her names, pero sa isang dekada ko syang kasama NEVER syang naging ENABLER o TOLERATOR when it comes sa MALING DESISYON sa buhay.”
Galang also pointed out that Fowler has never presented herself as perfect and has acknowledged the mistakes she made in the past.
“NEVER NAGMALINIS yan at AMINADO sa mga pagkakasala nya, na habang buhay nyang inihihingi ng kapatawaran at pinagbabayaran.”
Her defense came as Fowler faced criticism over her association with people whose past decisions have also drawn public attention. Personalities including Jen Oliveros and Yumi Garcia have reportedly been linked to the discussion surrounding the issue.
While Galang acknowledged that people should remain accountable for their actions, she argued that mistakes should not automatically define a person's entire life.
“Yes it doesn’t erase the fact na NAGKAMALI sila ng desisyon sa buhay at ACCOUNTABLE sila pero hindi ito ang tuldok sa bawat storya ng buhay ng tao.”
She further explained that people can learn from their experiences and become better versions of themselves over time.
“Kasi after all we are all just humans. We make mistakes we learn and we grow wiser through the years.”
Galang also described Fowler as a friend who does not simply tolerate everything her companions do. Instead, she said Fowler is willing to confront friends about their mistakes while continuing to support them during difficult periods.
“Toni is the greatest friend you can ever have. Prangkahan ipamumukha sayo lahat ng pagkakamali mo at hinding hindi ka iiwan sa panahong nilulubog ka na ng mundo.”
Toward the end of her message, Galang praised Fowler for the ways she has helped others, including through financial assistance and by sharing lessons from her own experiences.
“Toni Fowler sa lahat ng kilala kong MAKASALANAN, ikaw ang PINAKATOTOO at PINAKAMARAMING NATULUNGAN.”
Galang ultimately expressed gratitude toward Fowler, saying that the influencer’s past experiences have shaped the person she has become today.
"A big part of who she is now, is who she chose not to be anymore and i hope mahanap nyo yung peace sa pagiging totoong tao."
