The actor shared the advice while discussing their upcoming solo movie project, Ba’t Di Na Lang Tayo, during the film’s media event. The movie pairs Dustin and Bianca under director Jason Paul Laxamana in his comeback project with Regal Entertainment.

Dustin admitted that he was extremely excited when he learned that he had landed the male lead role, particularly because he has long admired Laxamana’s work.

“Gaano ako ka-excited? Sobra. Yung 100 Tula (Para Kay Stella), favorite ko yun,” he told the press.

He said working with Laxamana had been one of the things he had been looking forward to, especially since the project would give him and Bianca an opportunity to explore a different side of their acting careers.

“It’s our first time working with director JP and he’s one of our dream directors. Talagang we love watching his films. We’re so excited na maibahagi itong pelikula namin sa inyong lahat.

According to Dustin, Ba’t Di Na Lang Tayo will also be different from their previous project, Love You So Bad. While he kept the story details under wraps, he described the movie as something new for both of them, with themes that could resonate with their own experiences and those of many viewers.

Dustin also emphasized the importance of staying humble as their careers progress. Having worked on several films, he said he has always tried to remind Bianca not to let success alter her character.

For Dustin, Bianca has remained true to herself despite receiving more opportunities after PBB.

“Yung values naman ni Bianca from PBB hanggang ngayon is the same. Hindi nagbago, same lang. Kumbaga dumagdag lang yung blessings niya ngayon, yung mga work. But yung foundation niya, yung values niya, is the same. Wala naman nagbago,” he explained.

Dustin also credited their openness and friendship for helping strengthen their onscreen partnership. He said their shared experiences from PBB have helped them become more receptive to feedback and adjustments.

“Siguro yung pagiging grounded kasi it comes from being open. Yung relationship namin, yung friendship namin, talagang open kami for adjustments.
