"Ang pagsusuot ng ID sa trabaho ay maaaring simpleng bagay lang para sa iba, pero para sa akin, simbolo ito ng pagpapakumbaba, disiplina, at respeto sa opisinang pinaglilingkuran natin," Aiko opened.

Addressing the responsibilities that come with holding public office, Aiko noted that position should never make a public official feel immune to basic office protocol.

"Sa public service, hindi natin dapat isipin na dahil may posisyon tayo ay kilala na tayo ng lahat. Hindi lahat ng tao ay nakakakilala sa atin, at hindi rin dapat maging dahilan ang ating titulo para isipin nating hindi na natin kailangang sumunod sa mga patakaran," she explained.

She further stressed the importance of leading by example when setting rules for subordinates.

"Kapag suot ko ang aking ID, paalala ito sa akin na bahagi ako ng isang institusyon na may mga alituntunin at responsibilidad. Kung hinihingi natin sa ating mga empleyado at staff na sumunod sa mga patakaran, dapat tayo rin ay marunong sumunod," Aiko added.

Closing her post, Aiko reminded fellow public servants that power is temporary, but the standard of service left behind is what truly endures.

"Ang pagiging public servant ay hindi tungkol sa pribilehiyo o special treatment. Ito ay tungkol sa paglilingkod. Pansamantala lamang ang posisyon, pero ang respeto, magandang halimbawa, at serbisyong iniiwan natin sa mga tao ang mas mahalaga," she concluded.
