The local entertainment industry is mourning the loss of one of its most prominent and outspoken personalities, Jobert Sucaldito, affectionately known to many as 'Nanay Jobert.'

The heartbreaking news was officially confirmed on Sunday through the Facebook page of OOTD Jobert and Chaps Channel, a digital talk show platform he co-hosted alongside Chaps Manansala.

"Sa aming mga minamahal na manonood at tagasuporta, lubos po naming ipinapaalam na ang aming pinakamamahal na Nanay Jobert Sucaldito ay mapayapang pumanaw ngayong Agosto 2, 2026," the official statement read.

"Maraming salamat sa inyong walang sawang pagmamahal, suporta, panalangin, at pagtangkilik sa kanya sa paglipas ng mga taon. Ang kanyang mga alaala, kabutihan, at mga naiwan niyang kwento ay mananatiling buhay sa aming mga puso."

In a separate detailed advisory posted on the channel's page, they outlined the sequence of events leading to his sudden passing.

Between 9:45 AM and 10:15 AM on August 2, an unexpected incident occurred at Jobert's residence in Kamias, Quezon City. He was immediately rushed to the Philippine Heart Center, where medical personnel attempted to revive him.

"Sadly, despite their best efforts, he was pronounced deceased at around 10:30 AM," the notice stated. "The family is still awaiting the official medical findings regarding the cause of his passing," the notice added.

As funeral and wake arrangements are being finalized, the family requested respect and space as they cope with their loss.

"We kindly ask everyone to offer prayers for the eternal repose of Nanay Jobert's soul and to respect the family's privacy during this difficult time," the post added.

In the comment section, several of their fans and viewers have since extended their condolences.
