Former Viva Hot Babes member Maui Taylor opened up about one of the most traumatic moments she experienced during her years as a performer, recalling an incident of séxual harassment that left her frozen in shock.

During a recent episode of the "Your Honor" vodcast, Maui was asked how she protected herself while working as an actress and model, particularly because of the revealing image she carried during the height of her career. In response, she admitted that she and her fellow Viva Hot Babes had encountered inappropriate behavior from some audience members on several occasions.

“Madami nang times na either ako or kasama ko ‘yong grupo ko, ‘yong Viva Hot Babes na nahahawakan talaga kami. Hindi ko malilimutan ang isa sa mga area sa Rizal. Kasi ‘yon talagang frozen in place ako after,” shared Maui.

She then described what happened after one of their performances when the group was making its way down from the stage.

“Group kami na nag-perform. Pababa kami ng stage. Siyempre, nagkagulo. May humawak sa akin sa baba. Hindi na ako nakagalaw. As again, mommy to the rescue. Sinaboy ‘yong mineral water [sa humawak],” she recalled.

According to Maui, the incident happened so quickly that she was unable to react immediately, leaving her stunned until her mother stepped in to protect her.

The actress also remembered another frightening experience involving the Viva Hot Babes during a campaign event in Zamboanga. She said a sudden power outage caused confusion, allowing members of the crowd to rush onto the stage.

“Nag-akyatan ang lahat ng audience sa stage. Tapos nahawakan na si ganito sa ganyan. 'Yong si Gwen 'ata o si Jen Rosendahl, binubuhat na pababa ng stage. Hindi na alam kung saan dadalhin. Wala ako noon. Luckily, wala ako no’n,” she said.

Maui noted that she was fortunate not to have been present during that particular incident, but the experience left a lasting impression on her because of what her fellow performers allegedly endured.

Before becoming an actress, Maui rose to fame as one of the members of the popular all-female group Viva Hot Babes alongside Katya Santos, Andrea del Rosario, Jen Rosendahl, Gwen Garci, Jaycee Parker, Jennifer Lee, Sheree Bautista, and Asia Agcaoili. She later starred in several films, including Gamitan, Hibla, Séx Drive, and Torotot.

Maui Taylor is a Filipino-British actress, model, and singer who first rose to fame in the late 1990s through hit youth-oriented TV shows like T.G.I.S. and Anna Karenina. She later cemented her status as a prominent pop culture figure in the 2000s as a core member of the Viva Hot Babes and star of critically acclaimed films like Ang Huling Birhen Sa Lupa.

In another report, Maui Taylor disclosed that she still receives indecent proposals even years after stepping away from the spotlight as a sexy star. The actress revealed that one of the offers made to her was worth millions. She also shared that the most recent proposal came just a few months ago. Despite the tempting amount, Maui said she immediately declined because she refused to sacrifice her values.
