The two Kapuso actresses first worked together in the 2023 GMA Prime series Maging Sino Ka Man. This time, Mika said she appreciated Barbie even more after seeing her professionalism and positive attitude on set.
In an interview with Manila Standard Lifestyle Entertainment during the opening of Awesam Smile in Taguig City, Mika shared that Barbie's work ethic became one of the things she admired the most.
“Si Ate Barbie po, yung work ethic niya, sobrang ganda ng work ethic niya. Ang dami kong natutuhan sa work ethic niya pa lang, paano pa sa acting and everything.”

She also described Barbie as someone who genuinely looks after the people she works with. According to Mika, the award-winning actress is not afraid to point out areas that need improvement while also recognizing a job well done.
"Sobrang maalaga po siya sa set. Talagang sasabihin niya po kapag may mali, sasabihin niya kung good job ka. Para ko po siyang ate po talaga sa set."
Saving Cherry marks another collaboration between Mika and Barbie, and fans are now looking forward to seeing their on-screen chemistry once the movie is released.

Barbie also revealed that acting has always been her dream, and quitting has never been an option for her.
Meanwhile, Barbie Forteza also looked back on an incident in which she walked out of a guest appearance after allegedly experiencing unprofessional treatment from a production team. The actress recalled feeling disappointed after another guest was reportedly given priority despite her earlier call time and lack of sleep due to taping commitments. She emphasized the importance of respecting schedules and avoiding favoritism in the workplace. Barbie added that the host and members of the production staff later apologized for what had happened.
