His reaction came after news reports stated that Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano and three other senators would submit written opposition to the issuance of subpoenas seeking the vice president's bank records as part of the impeachment process.
Sharing a screenshot of the report on social media, Diaz questioned the actions of the senators and argued that Duterte should be given the opportunity to defend herself through the legal process.

"Wag masyado obvious, mga magigiting na Senador."
According to Diaz, preventing the proceedings from moving forward only gives the impression that some lawmakers lack confidence in Duterte's ability to clear her name during the impeachment trial.
He continued:
Diaz also questioned the purpose of conducting an impeachment trial if the respondent would not be allowed to fully present her defense.
He stated:
The showbiz personality further expressed confidence that Duterte was capable of facing the proceedings herself.
He added:
Toward the end of his post, Diaz criticized the senators even more strongly, saying they seemed to have forgotten their responsibility to help the public learn the truth behind the allegations.
He concluded:
His remarks quickly generated reactions online, with social media users expressing varying opinions on both the impeachment proceedings and Diaz's statements. While some agreed with his call to let the legal process unfold without obstruction, others maintained that senators have the authority to take positions based on their interpretation of the law and the Constitution. The issue continues to draw public attention as developments in the impeachment case unfold.
