During an interview with Nelson Canlas for Unang Hirit, the actress shared that although the cast underwent extensive training before filming, portraying medical professionals convincingly requires continuous learning and attention to detail.
"Grabe 'yung mga medical terms talaga and dapat, siyempre, accurate. So laging merong consultant on set na nagche-check ng kilos namin, ng mga linya namin," said Andrea.
Aside from the medical consultant assigned to the production, Andrea admitted that she often reaches out to her sibling, who works as a doctor, whenever she needs clarification on technical aspects of her performance.

"Tinatanong ko talaga sa kanya kung tama 'yung 'pag-pronounce ko, kung tama rin 'yung parang interpretation ko na magiging reaksyon ng doktor sa ganitong sitwasyon," she shared.
Her additional source of guidance has helped her gain more confidence in portraying realistic medical scenarios, especially when handling complicated dialogue and understanding how doctors would naturally respond in emergency situations.
Despite the demanding preparation, Andrea said filming remains enjoyable because of the strong bond among the cast members. According to the actress, they often become so playful behind the scenes that the production team occasionally has to remind them to focus before filming resumes.
"Para kaming barkada on set to the point na nilalapitan na talaga kami na 'Wag muna kayo magsama-sama kasi kailangan na nating i-shoot 'to,'" she recalled.
She added that once the director calls for a cut, the set quickly fills with laughter and conversations among the actors.
In a separate interview, Alden Richards echoed Andrea's sentiments about their working environment, saying that having supportive co-stars makes a significant difference when producing a demanding television series.
"For some reason, iba't ibang flavor 'yung nabibigay ng mga actors na kasama ko dito," Alden said.
Before production officially began, the cast also participated in a hospital immersion where they observed actual medical procedures and learned the proper use of various medical equipment. The experience formed part of the show's preparation to make the performances and hospital scenes more authentic.
Code Grey is scheduled to premiere on GMA Network in 2026.
