The file photo clearly highlights a total amount due of ₱17,845.79, a massive figure that quickly caught the attention of netizens facing similar problems with their electric bills.

Stunned by the unexpected spike, Jayson used his trademark humor to voice his frustration and confusion over the bill computation.

"Dear @meralcoph, kami po ay walang laundry shop, wala rin po kaming talyer at lalong lalo na wala kaming 4 na swimming pool. Paki-explain papano niyo ito na compute ng ganito kalaki," Jayson wrote in his caption.

The high expense got the actor thinking about alternative energy sources just to escape the steep monthly rates. However, he couldn't help but make another funny remark about how switching might pan out.

"Baka naman pag nag-solar kami maging 12k na lang kuryente namin aba aba baka lalo kayong yumaman!" the comedian added.
