“So I encourage everybody to study hard and do your best because that could change your lives,” she added.
Zhang also acknowledged that academic life is not always easy, especially for students dealing with pressure and mental health concerns. She referred to her on-screen character as a source of motivation.
“I'd like to take the role of Linda Walker. She's very persevering, brave and never backs out. She always does her very best. So maybe Linda Walker could be a very great role model,” she said.
She added a reminder about well-being, saying,
“But at the same time, for those who are dealing with mental health problems, it's very important to take care of your health because if you have good health you could do anything.”
Zhang’s character, known for having an IQ of 180 and scoring 719 in a mock exam, became widely popular among Filipino viewers and turned her into a symbol of intelligence and discipline.
Her growing popularity led to her appointment as the face of a civic campaign by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), promoting education and cultural ties.
Beyond her advocacy work, Zhang described her Philippines visit as memorable despite her tight schedule.
“I was very happy, I really enjoyed doing all of these. Everybody was so warm and friendly. It was really busy, the itinerary is really full but I really enjoy what I'm doing,” she said.
Linda Walker, the genius protagonist of the viral micro-drama The Heiress Who Won With Brains, is portrayed by Zhang Yingfei, a 2004-born graduate of Beijing's prestigious Central Academy of Drama. Combining character and actress, this academic icon became a massive social media phenomenon in the Philippines in early 2026 for her 180-IQ intellect, legendary 719-point exam score, and Zhang's real-life educational charity work in Manila.
In another report, Chinese actress Zhang Yingfei, popularly known for her role as Linda Walker, visited Quezon City High School as part of an education-focused outreach activity. She joined representatives from FFCCCII, officials from the Department of Education, and the Quezon City local government in the school visit. During the event, school supplies and hygiene kits were distributed to senior high school students to support their daily needs. The initiative formed part of FFCCCII’s “Education for a Better Future” advocacy campaign aimed at promoting student welfare and access to learning resources.
Meanwhile, Dasuri Choi delighted netizens after sharing a dance video featuring Chinese actress Zhang Yingfei, who has gained popularity in the Philippines through her role as Linda Walker in the viral micro-drama “The Heiress Who Won With Brains.” The video showed the two dancing together, with Dasuri praising Yingfei for quickly learning the choreography after watching it only once.
