GMA Network is preparing a new action-drama series titled “Hari ng Tondo,” which will bring together Kapuso stars Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid in their first television drama project as co-leads.

The upcoming teleserye marks another major collaboration for the two actors following their successful work in the award-winning film “Green Bones.”
Their performances in the movie earned recognition during the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival, where Dennis won Best Actor while Ruru received the Best Supporting Actor award.
During the recent story conference of the series, Ruru shared his excitement about finally getting the opportunity to work closely with Dennis in a long-running television project.

“Finally, ngayon sa isang teleserye, mas mahaba, mas maraming oras na magkakasama kami ni Kuya Dennis so I'm very excited,” says Ruru.
Dennis also expressed happiness over their reunion project and said he believes the series has the potential to become another memorable production similar to their previous collaboration.
“Minsan lang kami magkatrabaho ni Ruru pero pagka binibigyan kami ng pagkakataon magkatrabaho, talagang sigurado na maganda at saka isang malaking proyekto talaga,” says Dennis.
Aside from Dennis and Ruru, the cast of “Hari ng Tondo” also includes Rocco Nacino, Ryza Cenon, Ysabel Ortega, Elle Villanueva, Arra San Agustin, Victor Neri, Nonie Buencamino, and former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
The series will be directed by Enzo Williams, who is expected to bring a high-energy and cinematic approach to the action-drama project.
As early as the story conference stage, fans have already begun expressing excitement online over the pairing of Dennis and Ruru, especially after the strong reception of their previous film together.
Meanwhile, authorities in Bokod arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with the alleged murder of his 74-year-old mother after a resident discovered human remains buried in a shallow grave.
