Veteran actor-director Eric Quizon shared that he is now seriously considering having a child as he grows older, noting how time and life decisions feel more pressing. He made the statement during the grand press conference of Regal Entertainment’s “Project Baby,” which he directed.

Eric said he relates to the film’s themes on modern parenthood and relationships. The movie stars Sue Ramirez and Rico Blanco and follows Sandy Montecillo, a woman who wants a child but refuses to get married, leading her to consider convincing a man to become a sp*rm donor.
He shared how his upbringing shaped his views on relationships:
“Karamihan sa mga kapatid ko, ayaw mag-asawa. Kasi we grew up na hindi kasal ang daddy (Comedy King Dolphy) ko."

He added, “So, a lot of us believe that baka ganoon din naman lang…kasi, at that time, ang problema, marriage, di ba? Kung magpapakasal o hindi."
Eric said, “So we grew up in a family na medyo ganu’n. Na yung daddy namin, hindi kasal. So, halos lahat ng mga kapatid ko, hindi kasal. And ano, ha, by choice. By choice."
He then further explained their outlook on relationships.
He also noted, “Talagang ayaw nilang magkaroon ng partner. Kasi, ang feeling nila, maghihiwalay din.”
On the film he said, “So that’s why when I read the script of Direk Joey, sabi ko, maganda kasi siya. Kasi, of course, the treat is like a comedy nga. Na ang approach, parang, ‘O, gusto ko ng baby, ganun, ayoko ng partner.’"
He added, “So, it is similar to not wanting to get married, basta gusto kong magkaanak."
When asked about having a child, he said,
“All the time, all the time. Parang matagal ko nang iniisip yan."
He concluded, “Of course, I’m not getting any younger… definitely yes,” saying fatherhood remains a real possibility.
