During his guest appearance on "The B Side with Bianca Gonzalez," Joshua reflected on one of the film’s most talked-about moments — a love scene with Julia. He revealed that the production initially assigned an intimacy coordinator to help them navigate the sensitive sequence because of their past relationship.
“Noong una, since yung production sa amin, parang iniisip pa rin kami na baka mailang kami kasi siyempre mag-ex kami tapos magla-love scene,” Joshua shared.
According to the actor, they later realized the setup felt overly rehearsed while blocking the scene in Naga.

He recalled exchanging looks with Julia before deciding to speak with director Petersen Vargas about removing the coordinator from the process.
“Sabi namin kay direk (Petersen Vargas) na hindi na namin kailangan ng coordinator,” he said.
Joshua explained that he believes genuine emotions sometimes emerge when actors step beyond planned reactions. He added that unexpected moments between scene partners can bring authenticity to performances on screen.
The actor also revisited the film’s viral emotional scene where he was seen crying in the rain alongside veteran actor Nonie Buencamino.
“Parang nandito na kasi ako sa phase ngayon na parang ayoko nang umiyak nang ganyan,” Joshua admitted.
Despite his hesitation, he prepared for the sequence by isolating himself and listening to emotional music before filming.
“Play ako ng mga mellow songs, nakakaiyak na songs,” he recalled.
Joshua eventually completed the dramatic scene in one take, which he described as a rewarding experience as an actor.
Joshua Garcia first entered the spotlight as a housemate on Pinoy Big Brother before eventually becoming one of the Philippines’ most sought-after leading men. Today, Joshua continues to build his reputation through mature projects and action-driven roles that challenge his versatility on screen.
Recently, the actor spoke about his views on relationships, saying that honesty remains one of the most important foundations of genuine love. According to Joshua, real affection should never involve hidden motives or deception. He also shared that there are moments when staying quiet can help avoid unnecessary conflict, explaining that silence is not always equivalent to dishonesty. The actor added that he tries to be patient when someone he cares about is emotionally overwhelmed, choosing to respond with understanding instead of reacting negatively. Although he admitted that he tends to forget important dates and occasions, Joshua clarified that it should not be mistaken for a lack of care or appreciation toward loved ones.
