In a Facebook post dated May 15, Avila responded to renewed calls from supporters urging Robredo to consider another presidential bid under the Leni-Kiko movement. However, the actress made it clear that she personally hopes Robredo will no longer pursue the highest government position.
According to Avila, Robredo deserves a peaceful life after her 2022 presidential defeat and should no longer be burdened by the demands and pressures of national leadership, especially amid what she described as a chaotic political environment.
Mapayapa na ang buhay niya ngayon,” Avila wrote in her post.

She further questioned what purpose another candidacy would serve, adding,
Avila also voiced disappointment toward some voters, expressing frustration over what she sees as poor choices in leadership selection.
Ginusto nyo yan eh."
Robredo previously ran for president in the 2022 elections but lost to Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., who is currently the President of the Philippines. Despite this, supporters continue to encourage her to make a political comeback in 2028, potentially facing Vice President Sara Duterte, who is widely speculated as a strong contender.
However, Robredo has earlier stated that she has no plans to run for president in 2028 and remains focused on her duties as mayor of Naga City.
