"I went there thinking I would help them, but they were the ones who gave me strength, through their faith, kindness, and the way they continue to smile despite everything they’re going through," the actress shared.

She encouraged her followers, whom she fondly calls "Kare Bears," to visit Bahay Aruga, support their local cafes, or purchase the children's artwork to help sustain the halfway house's mission, one that touched her community.
