She elaborated on those thoughts, especially during quiet moments of reflection.
“Pag minsan na naiiwan ako sa sarili kong thoughts, pumapasok talaga 'yun sa isip ko na ‘oo nga ‘no,’ parang siguro dapat during those times nung edad ko na 'yun, baka dapat mas naglalaro ako,” she shared.
Despite these realizations, Diaz emphasized that she does not carry deep regret over her past. Instead, she described it as a sense of longing for experiences she wishes she had during the appropriate stage of her life.
“Hindi naman siya sobrang regret. Pero parang longing for something lang na sana mas napagdaanan ko sa tamang edad,” she explained.
Now at 22, Diaz said she has become more grounded and self-assured. She shared that she has learned to establish personal boundaries and stand firm in her beliefs.
“Mas meron na akong paninindigan sa mga paniniwala ko… And I think mas kaya ko na mag-no sa ibang bagay,” she said.
Part of her healing process involves reconnecting with her inner child by giving herself opportunities she once missed.
“Binibigay ko ngayon sa sarili ko 'yung hindi ko nun naranasan,” Diaz added.
Meanwhile, her on-screen partner Seth Fedelin offered a reassuring perspective, saying that it is never too late to enjoy experiences that may have been missed earlier in life.
“Hindi pa naman huli. So, pag gusto ko ba maglaro ng baril-barilan ngayon, may mali ba dun? Wala naman,” he said.
Both Diaz and Fedelin also reflected on their roles as breadwinners, emphasizing that their efforts to support their families come from a place of love rather than obligation.
“Hindi siya responsibility,” he said. “Pagmamahal 'yun.”
