Actress Andrea Brillantes candidly opened up about her struggles in the entertainment industry during her appearance on the Rec.Create YouTube channel, where she was interviewed by actor Enrique Gil.

During the conversation, Brillantes admitted that there were moments when she seriously considered stepping away from showbiz, particularly because of the harsh criticisms she regularly encounters online.
She acknowledged that constant exposure to negative comments can take a toll on anyone, explaining that reading such remarks naturally affects her:

Despite these thoughts, the actress pointed out the reality of her responsibilities, hinting at the practical reasons that keep her going. She also posed a reflective question about her situation, inviting others to consider what it feels like to be in her position:
“Gugustuhin n’yo pa kaya kung kayo si Andrea Brillantes kada taon? Gugustuhin n’yo pa kaya?”
Brillantes, however, emphasized her resilience, declaring that while she may be criticized, she refuses to let it defeat her:
“Hated by many, defeated by none.”
Ultimately, she shared that her determination and focus on her goals outweigh her desire to quit, as she continues to push forward despite the challenges:
“Ah, kaya kahit gustuhin ko mang mag-quit, eyes on the prize mommy… the goal is the goal.”
The actress also reflected on her early years in the industry when asked if she ever wished for a more typical childhood. She admitted that she did long for a normal life, especially when she saw other children enjoying simple moments of play while she was working.
“Oo naman. Lalo na nung bata ako, napapadungaw ako sa bintana kapag nasa taping kasi nakikita ko yung mga bata na naglalaro.”
However, she added that over time, she has come to accept her journey and recognize the value of her sacrifices:
“Pero ngayon kasi I accepted it na. Everything I have right now is because of my hard work nung bata ako.”
